Satisfaction Guarantee for all 6-week Workshops and Ongoing Classes
If, for any reason, you choose to cancel out of the class after the first night (except for the Casting Director Workshops and Intensives), you have 24 hours to contact Hollywood Acting Workshop in writing and your balance will be refunded. After those first 24 hours, you cannot cancel out and will be responsible for the full balance.
Deposit Policy
All classes and workshops (except for the Casting Director Workshops and Intensives) require a $100 deposit. The remaining balance can be paid on or before the first night by cash, check or on-line PayPal payment. If needed, you can pay in two payments. For example, one check for 1/2 the balance dated the first night, and another check for the other 1/2 of the balance will be postdated for the date of the mid-way class.) Casting Director Workshops and Intensives must be paid in full prior to the session.
Running Late
Whenever a student has to be late, they should contact the Class Assistant in advance. This policy instills professionalism and maintains the respect of your teacher and your fellow actors in class. Also, it helps the teacher to pace the class.
Missing Class
Whenever a student has to miss a class, they must contact the Class Assistant in advance to receive a class credit for a make-up class. This policy instills commitment, discipline, professionalism, and also maintains the respect of your teacher and your fellow actors in class. Further, it will help the teacher re-assign partner scenes as needed.
Make-up Classes
If you miss a regular class or workshop session (e.g., due to an audition or booking, illness, or need to go out of town) and the Class Assistant is notified prior to the start of class, class credit may be offered at the Workshop’s discretion. However, there is no guaranteed make-up class or workshop. Typically, make-up classes are available and held in the form of a group make-up session (which is independent of the regularly scheduled class day, time and location).
Discontinuing Class
If discontinuing class, a one month notice is respectfully requested so that the class can continue to run smoothly.
Disclaimer for all Classes, Workshops and Intensives
The intent of all of the classes, workshops and intensives at the Hollywood Acting Workshop is solely educational. Enrollment and attendance are NOT to be construed as a job interview or audition. The presence of a casting director is neither a guarantee nor promise of employment. The vast majority of students do not receive jobs as a result of meeting casting directors at these classes, workshops or intensives. Further, we do our best to ensure that the information we provide about the teachers, casting directors and associates is up to date, however, we are not responsible for our instructors or guests changing offices, projects, types of workshop or canceling.
Cancellation of 2-Day Weekend Intensives or Casting Director Workshops
There is a 48-hour cancellation policy for the 2-Day Weekend Intensives and Casting Director Workshop. If you cancel, you will receive a credit in the amount you paid towards a future workshop. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. If you cancel within 48 hours of the workshop and we are unable to fill your spot, or if the class is not full or there is no one to take your spot off the waiting list, you will be responsible for full payment. In the event that a instructor or casting director cancels and a comparable replacement cannot be scheduled for that same date, your fee will be applied to a future workshop of your choice.
