Michael has been at Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! for over 2 years (approximately 360 episodes). He and the Casting Director, Cecilia Pleva, co-manage the casting department; thus, Michael is very knowledgeable.

Learn how to present a strong image during a TV audition and cold reading. This educational workshop emphasizes character development, believability and overall effectiveness of a scene. Actors will read scenes (partnered) and will receive detailed feedback and redirection (as needed). Plus, learn about: what casting directors and associates are looking for; how to get work; do’s and dont’s of auditioning; and much more!! This is a cold-read workshop (material will be given to you AT the workshop; nothing to prepare).

Michael Torbiak, Casting Associate, has been working with new talent as well as some of the top names in film and TV at MTV, BRAVO and E! for nearly a decade. For the last two years, he has been assisting in casting the comedy segments on ABC’s JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE!  He knows what it takes to do the work on late night television. Michael is in the process of updating his imdb profile (which does not reflect all of his work).

Here is our cancellation policy as required by California law: Cancellation Policy. In addition to this policy, we offer a CREDIT policy should you need to cancel. Specifically, if you need to cancel and would like to reschedule for another workshop, we shall credit you the full amount towards another future workshop (one year expiration date). Simply call us (310-717-2181; 9am-10pm) or email us (info@hollywoodactingworkshop.com) to notify us that you want to reschedule. Further, in the event that an instructor or casting director cancels and a comparable replacement cannot be scheduled for that same date, it is your choice to receive an immediate full refund or your fee can be used as a credit towards any future workshop of your choice.
