Cancellation Policy

Hollywood Acting Workshop Actor Contract

(as required by the California Labor Code Section 1703-1703.6)

Hollywood Acting Workshop’s bond number is CA 5079722 in the amount of $50,000 underwritten by Suretec Insurance Company, 952 Echo Lane, Suite 450, Houston, Texas 77024 and is filed with the Labor Commissioner of California.

The contract (below) covers the services of an Instructor or Casting Director/Associate Workshop or Agent/Manager Showcase. The Instructor or Casting Director/Associate or Agent/Manager will speak to the actors attending, answering questions at the start or end of the educational workshop in regard to how their office operates, insights into the industry, etc. Each actor will then perform a scene in front of the entire class and the Instructor or Casting Director/Associate or Agent/Manager from television, film or commercial that has already aired or previously been cast. The referred to Instructor or Casting Director/Associate or AGent/Manager may choose to provide feedback as to how an actor can improve their scene. Other actors are allowed to view these scenes as it is a learning tool. Each workshop is between 2-3 hours in duration.

You may cancel the contract (below) and obtain a full refund, without any penalty or obligation, if notice of cancellation is given, in writing, within 10 business days from the date of contract or the date on which you commence utilizing the services under the contract, whichever is longer.

This contract date is ________________(Date of Purchase of Workshop/Showcase/Class) and is made between the Hollywood Acting Workshop and __________________________(Actor) for the Workshop/Showcase/Class purchased on the internet.

HOLLYWOOD ACTING WORKSHOP IS A TALENT TRAINING SERVICE. THIS IS NOT A TALENT AGENCY CONTRACT. ONLY A TALENT AGENT LICENSED PURSUANT TO SECTION 1700.5 OF THE LABOR CODE MAY ENGAGE IN THE OCCUPATION OF PROCURING, OFFERING, PROMISING, OR ATTEMPTING TO PROCURE EMPLOYMENT OR ENGAGEMENTS FOR AN ARTIST. HOLLYWOOD ACTING WORKSHOP IS PROHIBITED BY LAW FROM OFFERING OR ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN AUDITIONS OR EMPLOYMENT FOR YOU. IT MAY ONLY PROVIDE YOU WITH TRAINING AND COUNSELING. FOR MORE INFORMATION, CONSULT CHAPTER 4.5 (COMMENCING WITH SECTION 1701) OF PART 6 OF DIVISION 2 OF THE LABOR CODE. A DISPUTE ARISING OVER OF THE PERFORMANCE OF THE CONTRACT BY THE TALENT SERVICE THAT IS NOT RESOLVED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE ARTIST SHOULD BE REFERRED TO A LOCAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT OR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT, AS APPROPRIATE.

CANCELLATION POLICY: YOU MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT AND OBTAIN A FULL REFUND, WITHOUT ANY PENALTY OR OBLIGATION, IF NOTICE OF CANCELLATION IS GIVEN, IN WRITING, WITHIN 10 BUSINESS DAYS FROM THE ABOVE DATE OR THE DATE WHICH YOU COMMENCE UTILIZING THE SERVICES UNDER THE CONTRACT, WHICHEVER IS LONGER. FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, BUSINESS DAYS ARE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. AFTER 10 DAYS, CANCELLATIONS ARE PROHIBITED. TO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT, MAIL OR DELIVER OR SEND BY FACSIMILE TRANSMISSION A SIGNED AND DATED COPY OF THE FOLLOWING CANCELLATION NOTICE OR ANY OTHER WRITTEN NOTICE OF CANCELLATION ON MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY (BETWEEN 9AM-5PM) TO HOLLYWOOD ACTING WORKSHOP AT 1840 S. GAFFEY STREET, SUITE 210, SAN PEDRO, CALIFORNIA 90731 OR EMAIL TO INFO@HOLLYWOODACTINGWORKSHOP.COM NOT LATER THAN MIDNIGHT OF THE DAY 10 BUSINESS DAYS FROM TODAY. IF YOU CANCEL, ALL FEES YOU HAVE PAID MUST BE REFUNDED TO YOU WITHIN 10 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER DELIVERY OF THE CANCELLATION NOTICE TO THE HOLLYWOOD ACTING WORKSHOP.

THIS IS NOT A JOB INTERVIEW OR AUDITION. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE PRESENCE OF A CASTING DIRECTOR/ASSOCIATE OR TALENT AGENT/MANAGER IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A GUARANTEE OR PROMISE OF EMPLOYMENT. I FURTHER UNDERSTAND THAT THE INTENT OF THIS CLASS IS SOLELY EDUCATIONAL.

If you cancel, all fees you have paid must be refunded to you within 10 business days after delivery of the cancellation notice to Hollywood Acting Workshop.
