Our “on-camera” talent agent workshop format is as follows: Each agent will receive a headshot and resume of each of the actors at the top of class. Approximately 20-24 well-trained actors will perform either a scene with a partner OR a monolgoue** for FIVE THEATRICAL AGENTS (from different agencies) in front of the whole class. If any of the agents want, they make comments/suggestions, ask you questions or ask for ONE re-direct of the scene/monologue. All scenes/monologues will be taped. After all of the actors have performed, there will be a brief educational Q&A session with the FIVE AGENTS in front of the whole class. This is a great way to network. Plus, learn about: what talent agents are looking for; how to get signed; and much more!
**Actors may perform a “rehearsed” scene (with a partner)…OR…a “rehearsed” monologue (alone)…OR…a “cold-reading” scene (with a partner; scene and partner to be assigned at the workshop). Scenes and/or monologues should be approximately 3 pages. “Rehearsed” performances will perform first, followed by the “cold-readings”. If you choose to do a “rehearsed” scene, you may choose your own paying accompanying partner and/or your own scene or we can assign the partner and/or scene for you (within the next 1-2 days). Cancellation of Talent Agent Showcase Workshops
There is a 48-hour cancellation policy for Talent Agent Showcase Workshops. If you cancel prior to 48 hours, you will receive a credit in the amount you paid towards a future workshop. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. If you cancel within 48 hours of the workshop and we are unable to fill your spot, or if the class is not full or there is no one to take your spot off the waiting list, you will be responsible for full payment. In the event that a talent agent cancels and a comparable replacement cannot be scheduled for that same date, your fee will be applied to a future workshop of your choice.
