In this on-going class for young actors, we will incorporate cold reading auditioning for camera, technical aspects of film acting, scene study, script analysis, utilizing improv, and more. The teacher approaches each actor as an individual working to find their unique connection to the characters they portray. The teacher will select scenes specifically for you that they believe are best suited for your growth. The scene study in this class is used to fine tune, stretch, and further develop the actor’s skills. At times, you will audition with script in hand (on-book) on camera. At other times, you will act on camera off-book (memorized). We will work in the areas of both auditioning for roles, and acting on camera. We will work on your facial angles, blocking, cheating toward the camera, etc. You will work off of a person standing next to the camera, and then off of a person moving – to improve your focus and concentration.  After watching your scene on tape, you will receive a lot of very helpful, constructive feedback from the teacher. Then you will have a chance to do it again, incorporating the feedback into your performance. Performance on camera followed by critiques will enable us to optimize your strengths and eliminate your weaknesses. At the end of a few cycles, you will have compiled many scenes of your work on a DVD for your reel.
